Actor Muka Ray appointed aide to Kwara governor

The governor announced the appointment in a statement issued by Rafiu Ajakaye, his chief press secretary, on Thursday.

Muka Ray hails from the Ipetu/Rore/Aran-Orin ward in Irepodun LGA of the state.

The actor also took to his Instagram page to express his excitement at the appointment.

In the post, Muka Ray appreciated the governor and other persons who made it a reality.

“Special thanks to the people’s governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Kwara state governor for appointing me as the senior special assistant to the governor on culture on tourism. Thank you all I am now honorable Muka Ray,” he wrote.

The actor and film director is popular in the Yoruba movie industry.

He has featured in several hit movies including ‘Oko Asewo’ (2007), ‘Inu Obinrin’ (2005), and ‘Oro Lanre Pesije’ (2005).

With his appointment, he joins the league of Nollywood stars who have held political offices such as Richard Mofe-Damijo, Kate Henshaw, Desmond Eliot, Femi Adebayo, and Ini Edo.
